What is the Nanopore Micro-needling & Mesotherapy treatment?
The Nanopore Micro-needling & Meso therapy treatment is the newest, most recent advancement from Dermaroller and Dermapen. The Nanopore device generates thousands of micro channels in the epidermis of the skin, allowing topically applied active ingredients and growth factors to enter the deepest layers of skin.
With the new Nanopore device, no anaesthesia is required as the needles in the device, do not vibrate. The Nanopore device boasts a speed of 200 pulses per second which increases the number of micro-punctures per second, resulting in a more effective outcome. The micro-punctures in turn trigger the wound healing mechanism to produce collagen. The Nanopore device is also used to push active ingredients (serums) into the skin (Mesotherapy) which enhances the micro-needling effect. Erythema is taken as the end point of the treatment with downtime varying from a few minutes to a couple of days.
How many session’s would one require?
An initial course of 4-6 treatments every 15-20 days are recommended. The results from the collagen stimulation can be perceived till almost 3 months after a treatment.
How does one feel during the procedure?
The procedure is comfortable and does not require the application of topical anaesthesia. The redness on the face often subsides within a few hours in most individuals. If it persists mineral makeup can be used. Treatment on the neck and body tend to stay red for a while longer.
